Hi, I'm Jo.

At around the age of 45, perimenopause hit me pretty hard and I had no idea what had been coming my way. As I learnt more about what was going on with my body and emotions I was incredulous at how little we know as a population about the ageing process and women's health in particular. I embarked on a journey of discovery and would like to share this with you

After being very fit in my teens, rediscovering fitness in my 40's has been challenge, not least because I constantly compare myself to what I used to be able to do. Then I learnt that we lose muscle mass as well as bone density from around the age of 40. Balance, agility and proprioception also diminish. This wasn't just me being rubbish, age was conspiring against me
BUT
We can do something about this. Ageing doesn't have to mean decline, we just need to show it who's in charge!

I'm on a journey to remain fit, strong and healthy so I can continue to enjoy wonderful adventures with my loved ones.

What to expect
Initial session - 1 ½ hour session
We will look at where you are currently at in your journey and discuss where you want to be before considering options to move you forward. We will move through a range of exercises tailored to your goals and current level of fitness. We will discuss benefits of a range of exercises and identify some you will enjoy.
After the session, I will write up a personalised programme for you and email it to you. I will also contact you 7-10 days later to see how you are getting on and if the programme is working for you.

Any subsequent sessions - 1 hour
We will look through your programme and consider any adaptations necessary. This might include: Technique review to ensure you aren’t falling into bad practices. Increase or decrease the level of intensity of exercises. Add, change or adapt exercises to mix things up.
After the session, I will confirm the changes via email and contact you 7-10 days later to see how things are going for you.


What you will need
A water bottle, loose clothing you can move in and any equipment you currently own.
I can bring some equipment for you to try.
